Show Uintah ASCS to sponsor county tour The Uincah County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (UASCS) will host the State ASCS Conservation-Education tour in Uintah County June 18 and 19. Representatives from 29 counties in Utah as well as Washington officials will attend the tour. Points of interest on the tour will include Russian Olive control, Bullock Draw Reservoir, emergency conservation measures to restore land and irrigation structures destroyed by the earth flow on Deep Creek, range conservation practices, gravity sprinkler irrigation systems, long term conservation projects, range improvements, tar sand developments and the Red Fleet Dam. Over 200 people are expected to at-: at-: tend the two day bus tour beginning Thursday, June 12, with a breakfast at the Pavilion. |
