Two New Members Take Spots in Toastmasters Rodney Dalton and Charles Squires, newest members of Moab Toast-masters Toast-masters Club, gave their "Ice Breaker" speeches to the club on Thursday, Feb. 13, 1975. Charles Squires picked up the vote for the best speaker of the evening. Both show evidence of great potential for the better listening, better thinking and better speaking speak-ing goals of Toastmasters. Toastmast-ers. Rodney was born and raised in Moab where, in 1956, he married Dixie Dix-ie Oliver, also a native. They have three children. For the past five years he has been employed by Utah Power and Light Co. He is a graduate ofGrand County High school and also studied for two years at Utah State University in Logan. , Charles Squires came to Moab from Dolores, Co., when he accepted a position with TGI in January 1965. He is married mar-ried to the former Anna Millard, since 1956, and is the father of four. Charles is presently Research and Environmental Environ-mental Impact Technologist Technolo-gist for TGI. |
