Show Tickets to "The Moonview" on Sale Tickets to the world premiere production of "The Moonview" are now on sale aespue rumors that performances by the Moab Community Theatre Thea-tre are sold out. Seats are still available for performances on Feb. 28, March 1 and 2, and advance ad-vance reservations may be made by contacting the Apache Motel. Seats not sold in advance will also al-so be available at the Star Hall box office the nights of th show. According to Rodger Darbonne, director of the two-act play by Max Go- lightly, the audience is in for a few surprises. "One advantage of having a grant to do this play is the fact that we can experiment ex-periment and be more theatrical than in a play where realism is the main goal. The actors have to master lines that are as long and difficult as Shakesperean soliloquies and we've never done a play as theatrical as this is and that is good for our growth." "But it isn't all just , speeches," Mr. Darbonne continued." We have some interesting , stage effects. Some are with lighting, some with sound and some with sets. There are seven scenes and six scene changes. Don Ka-gol, Ka-gol, our set designer, has done a wonderful job of designing sets that twist and turn about. Some of them fold up and Some of them unfold, giving us such diverse settings as offices, art galleries, construction sites, stud ios and a two hundred thousand dollar home on a hillside. It's very exciting ex-citing to consider the expanse ex-panse of this play and what we can do in Moab about staging it." Casting is another area for growth. "We have several se-veral younger, newer people in the cast. We do extensive makeup on one, aging him several years. If it all works, we will have opened new opportunities for future plays. It's a spectacular Play. Don't miss it said. . ' i ' |
