Show OLDTIMER PASSES Word was received in Green River of the death ol" William Seamont. one of the real old time cattlemen of the area. He ran his cattle in the Book Cliffs and up the river, where he was involved in-volved in both the Florence Flor-ence Creek and Rock Creek Ranches. Bill was born Oct. 31. 1SS2 in Provo to John W. and Bendicta Xelson Seamont. He married Jean L. Mclntire of Price April 14. 1914. He retired from the cattle business in 1920 and moved to Salt Lake City where he was chief mechanic me-chanic on the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad for 31 years. After his retirement, he and his wife lived in Salt Lake City. Other survivors are his daughter, Mrs. Max E. (Billie) Rich, Washington. Wash-ington. D.C.. twogrand-children twogrand-children and three great grandchildren. 2 brothers broth-ers and a sister also survive. They are Alfred Al-fred of Grand Junction. Eawin of Redlands. California Cal-ifornia and Mrs. Tora McPherson of Delta. Nephews and nieces in this area are Jim McPherson Mc-Pherson of Moab. Mrs. Fern Peterson, Drag-erton Drag-erton and Mrs. Budge (Pearl) Wilcox of Green River. |
