Show Four Corners Minerals Group Holds Moab Meet The Four Corners M i n e r a 1 Resources Association met in Moab last week to consider changes in legislation affecting small mining operations. Moab group action halted an important impor-tant bill before the t tah State Legislature when Joe Stocks, Jim Walker, Don Bynum and Marion Birch traveled to Salt Lake City on Feb. 1, to meet with Senator Omar B. Bunnell, Sen. Ferry, and Sen. Allan Mecham as well as Reps. Ken Silliman and Calvin Black. "The point at issue," according to Joe Stocks, "is a new law creating a Board of Mines w hich could threaten the very existance of small independent in-dependent mining ventures ven-tures in the State of Utah."
