First Security Begins Move to New Quarters Officials at First Security Sec-urity Bank in Moab have set this weekend as the beginning of their move to temporary quarters in the Arches Building while a new bank facility is being constructed on their Main and Center location. The move w ill begin just shortly after closing clos-ing on Friday, Feb. 15, when Diebold Safe and Vault Company experts will begin to move the vault and other items from the bank. A new vault is being constructed construct-ed in the Arches Build ing to oe usea uuniig the temporary move. Officials pointed out that all safety deposit boxes and other safekeeping items would be moved to the new offices over the coming weekend. It is expected that demolition of the old bank building will begin within the next few weeks, although a contractor con-tractor for construction of the new facility has not yet been selected. It is also anticipated that this selection will be made within the next few weeks. First Security will open in its new quarters on Tuesday, Feb. 19, after the holiday observance obser-vance of Presidents; Day. The officers of the bank stated that an armed arm-ed guard will be on duty at the Arches Building office at all times when the bank is not open for business. Although an exact completion date is not yet available, bank officials hope to be in their new building sometime next fall. |
