Show Literary Club Held Meeting The Woman's Literary Club met Monday, Nov. 1 in the Council Chambers for their monthly business meeting. President Joan Shermer presided. She and Ann PcjI, district secretary, reported on their attendance of the Fall Board Meeting and Civic Improvement Seminar in Price. Regular business was taken care of and the club voted to assist in the Victory Drive of the Arthritis Foundation Founda-tion to be held in January or February under the direction of County Chapter Chairman, Ann Pool. Ila Corbin reported on the success of the committee to meet with County Commissioner Commis-sioner for placement of road signs in the Pinhook area. The club was saddened to hear of the death of Mrs. Ray (Christie) Humpney, district historian and past district president of the Ladies Improvement Im-provement Club of Orange-ville. Orange-ville. Next meeting will be under the direction of Fine Arts Dept., Ruby Sampson, chairman chair-man and will be Nov. 13, 2 p.m. at the Howard Balsley Hall of the Community Baptist Church. ,mm.J i l .
