Show Hearing on Air Quality Plan Set for TGI Texasgulf, Inc., has requested re-quested a variance to the Utah Air Conservation Regulations at their Potash Plant near Moab and a public hearing on the request will be held Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. in the Grand County Courtroom. Conducting the hearing will be Alvin E. Rickers, executive seerelary of the Utah Air Conservation Committee, who notified the Times-Independent of this request for variance. This request is a continuation continua-tion of TexasGulf s efforts to control particulate matter coming com-ing from stacks at the plant. An earlier variance was granted while the company developed and presented a control plan. Public hearing will be on the control plan and on whether the variance should be granted. Upon official approval of the control plan, this variance would allow TexasGulf time to purchase and' install the necessary equipment to con- trol the emission of particulate matter from stacks. Written statements on this matter may be submitted to, or appointments for oral statements state-ments to the hearing officer may be made with the Executive Secretary, Utah Air Conservation Committee, 44 Medical Drive, Salt Lake City, Ut. 84113. Such written statements or requests for appointments should be received re-ceived on or before Nov. 29, 1976. |
