Show Dead Horse Point Visitation Reported During the month of October Octob-er the park recorded 10,613 visitors of those 692 camped overnight. For October of 1975 the park recorded 4,708 visitors. This reflects an increase in October visitation of 125. To date this year there have been 123,854 visitors as compared to 71,594 persons in 1975 during the same period. This reflects a 73 increase in visitation to date this year, according to Mike Barker, Park Superintendent. Superin-tendent. Camping for the month of October also shows an increase in-crease with 524" persons camping for October 1975 as compared to 692 in 1976. The increase is 32. However, to date camping is only up 2.3 over 1975. This is due to reduced overflow camping. On November 10, 1976 Park Superintendents and Rangers-in-charge of various State Parks will be in Moab. The group will be on tour of the Southeast region to gain better information about Utah so they can encourage more visitors to the area. The group will while in the area tour Arches National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park. |
