Show v. . -A i y A Beautiful Flower Garden . . . Mrs. Clara Miller, also known as Mrs. G. F. Miller is a handicapped person, by being almost blind. But she doesn't let her disability keep her from having a very pretty flower garden in front of her mobile home on West Center St. I was walking past one day and had my Kodak, was so amazed seeing her down on hands and knees working in the flower s. I took some pictures and decided to write an article about her. The picture's above are some of the beautiful flowers in her yard of petunias, zinnias, chrysanthemums and roses. Clara also does much home canning of fresh fruits given her by her friends. She does have some help but does most by herself by feel. Clara was born in Latrobe, 5 f i l - ' ' ' v. '- -' V V" ' " . ' . ! Penn., and lived there all her life before moving to Moab 22 years ago with her husband, G. F. Miller and son, Jack Duane, by a former marriage. Mr. Miller and Jack Duane opened a drug store here and after the death of his father, Jack took over the business until he sold out and moved to Denver several years ago. Clara has 3 granddaughters and 1 grandson living In Denver, Colo. Clara is a ardent Senior Citizen and some one picks her up for the Saturday night meetings and dances. She loves dancing and singing. She has a very pretty voice and recently she sang a solo of one of her beloved Italian Grand Opera pieces. She also plays in the Senior Citizen Kitchen Band and attends St. Pius X Catholic Church. |
