Show Lee Wangsgard Moving To Bigger Nevada Post Lee Wangsgard, Bureau of Land Management Area Manager Man-ager for the Grand Resource Area, has been selected to assume increased responsibilities responsibil-ities in a larger area in Elko, Nevada. As the new Area Manager in Elko, Lee will have the reponsibility of administering some three-and-one-half million mil-lion acres of public land. Lee has spent six years here in Moab, and served as Area Manager for the past few years. Some of his more notable accomplishments during dur-ing this time include, aiding in the development of the West-water West-water River Program, placing 300,000 acres of land under an intensive grazing system, and environmental overseeing the placement of fifty miles of gas lines in the Cisco Desert. Lee, his wife Diane, and their two children, have thoroughly enjoyed the amenities ameni-ties of Moab and the Red Rock Country; but now are looking toward their new home with new challenges. A going away party is planned for Lee at the Ramada Inn, Friday, November 12. |
