Show Flaming Gorge Area Land Souaht in BLfA Vfithdraval An application to withdraw with-draw approximately 5,-000 5,-000 acres of highly scenic sce-nic corridor along the Green River from all forms of appropriation, entry or occupation has been filed by the U.S. Department of the Interior's Inter-ior's Bureau of Land Management. Paul L. Howard, BLM state director for Utah, said the withdrawal would be for 4,997.12 acres in Daggett county between the Flaming Gorge National Na-tional Recreation Area and the Colorado state line. The corridor would vary from a quarter mile to one mile in width and border a section of the Green River which is under un-der interagency study for designation under the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act. The withdrawal would be to protect the natural beauty and outdoor recreation re-creation .qualities from activities which could damage, impair or otherwise other-wise make the corridor unsuitable for general public enjoyment said Mr. Howard. The BLM state director direc-tor noted the proposed withdrawal would prohibit prohi-bit all forms of appropriation appropri-ation or entry. Also prohibited pro-hibited would be surface use and occupancy under the mineral leasing laws. Before April 28, interested inter-ested persons may submit sub-mit comments, suggestions sugges-tions or objections concerning con-cerning the proposed withdrawal to the BLM State Director, P.O.
