Show Truck Rollover Investiaated By Hiahvav Patrol Officer Highway Trooper Phil Harney investigated a semi-truck and trailer rollover roll-over Mar. 20 at 4:15a.m. on U.S. 6-50 eleven miles mil-es east of Green River. The truck was east- Ixnind when the driver, Wenford J, Greffcy, of Greenfield, Ind., fell asleep as-leep at the wheel after which the vehicle went off the right side of the road onto a muddv embankment. embank-ment. The embankment gave way under the weight of the truck causing it to roll over, dumping its load of wooden shingles. Greffey was cited for failure to maintain control con-trol of the vehicle and also for having a delinquent delin-quent log book. A 19G2 Rambler Sedan driven by Esther Lynn Hurch, Cortez, Colo., 3 miles west of Cisco on 1-70 Mar. 24 also rolled roll-ed over once at 11:45 a.m. after she lost control con-trol of the vehicle. Driving Dri-ving westbound, the vehicle ve-hicle ran off the right shoulder of the road; the driver over - corrected and the vehicle then crossed over the traffic lane and ran off the left shoulder of the road before be-fore the car turned over. She was cited for failure to maintain proper control con-trol of the vehicle by Trooper John Kimball who investigated the accident. |
