Show Three Girl Scout troops participated in the Moab Cleanup Day, Brownie Troop 570 and Junior Troops 666 and 617. Diane Norman's Troop 617 won first place with 9400 pounds of trash and junk. Congratulations Con-gratulations girls and leaders. Junior Troops 666 and 617 spent an afternoon roller skating in hopes of earning their Skating Badge. Mrs. Winfield Julie Nunn, and Elaine Boyer helped teach skating ska-ting while Robin Hen-ningson Hen-ningson and Else Daniels passed the girls off on the different requirements. require-ments. 31 were present. Robin Henningson, Neighborhood Chairman and Shirley Shelton, Leader Senior Troop 190 were present at this week's Chamber of Commerce Luncheon. Shirley spoke briefly on the upcoming trip of 7 girls from Moab with 20 from Price going to "Our Cabana" International Girl Scout Girl Guide House at Cuernavaca, Mexico. Some of these girls are in need of after af-ter school or weekend jobs to help pay their way on this trip. It was hoped by bringing this to the attention of the Chamber some of the businesses in town might have some part time work for these girls. |
