" Kicking off the Jeep Safari weekend is the annual an-nual Boy Scout Barbecue which will be held Friday Fri-day at 6 p.m.. at Lions Park 2 miles north of town on the south bank of the Colorado River. A feast of barbecued beef with all the trimmings--dutch oven potatoes, hard rolls, root beer and coffeewill cof-feewill be served until un-til 9 p.m. Tickets will be $10 per family, or $2.50 for adults or $1.50 for students under 12. Beef for the dinner is being donated by Hardy Redd, LaSal, and the Green River Ward of the LDS Church. Fish will also al-so be available for those who prefer. The Scouts will be around ar-ound in uniform selling tickets for the barbecue or they may be bought at the dinner itself. The traditional Saturday Satur-day morning breakfast, cooked and served ranch style, begins at 7 a.m. in Lions Park. This is a great-place to get to know people and make last minute min-ute decisions about which trail to take if you haven't already decided.
