Show Planning commission approves subdivision, other business A meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at the Sundowner Restaurant. Present were Board Members Mem-bers Harold Gaither, Billy Hass and Sam Taylor. Also present were City Recorder David Bretzke, Secretary Sandy Martin,-and Martin,-and two men from Town Television. At a meeting two weeks prior, only two members were present which did not constitute a quorum to consider the rezoning request of Grand School District and the preliminary pre-liminary plans for Arches Subdivision proposed by Mr. Bretzke. The rezoning request of the school was reconsidered. reconsider-ed. Superintendant Bill Meador requested that the land behind the Junior High School be rezoned from R-3 to C-2 so that it will be conforming to its present use and for future use as the school district would like. It was approved approv-ed unanimously. The preliminary plans for Arches Subdivision were again presented by Mr. Bretzke. Mr. Bretzke requested a variance of a 50' right-of-way instead of a 60' right-of-way on Arches Circle, and a variance on the length of the cul-de-sac which will be approximately 1,160 feet long. It was approved unanimously. The request of Fred Stoye to have a piece of property on the south side of Holiday Haven between Holiday Haven and Thomson Thom-son Subdivision rezoned from R-4 to C-5 was considered. He requested the rezoning to build a small grocery store and mini storage units. It was approved unanimously. A request from Town Television to rezone a parcel of ground owned by A. R. Stocks on the corner of 4th East and 1st North Streets to install an earth station and an 8' x 8 building to house electronic elec-tronic equipment was considered. The land would be rezoned from R-3 to RA-1. The men from Town Television stated that this location was picked because that is Y the only place . where there will be interference with AT or Continental's trano!1 sions.
