Show Mass meetings scheduled! i for next Monday I Mass meetings of the Republican I and Democratic parties will be held I Monday, May 15 at 7 p.m. in Grand 1 County, and special presentations 2 over KUED television for each party will be aired this year. I Ron Swenson, state Democratic I Party chairman, and Bob Wright, I state Republican Party chairman, I announced jointly that the special J program will be run featuring the J Democratic Party at 7:30 p.m. and ! the Republican Party at 7:37 p.m. Television sets will be on hand at all I mass meetings in Moab. j Meeting places are as follows. I For the Republican Party, District 1 I will meet in the City Council Chambers of the Courthouse; J District 2 will meet in the Courtroom at the Courthouse; District 3 will meet at the High j School; District 4 will meet at Helen I M. Knight School; District 5 will J meet at Southeast Elementary j School; Districts 6 and 7 will meet in Thompson and Elgin, as arranged locally. j For the Democratic Party, j District 1 will meet in the Middle j School gym; District 2 will meet at I the Southeast Elementary School J pod, south door; District 3 and 4 j will meet in the Helen M. Knight j multi-purpose room; District 5 will meet in the Southeast Elementary School pod, south door; District 6 j will meet in Thompson at the I D&RG depot; and District 7 will j meet in Elgin, as locally arranged. j All citizens are urged to register ! to vote, if they have not already i done so, with the Grand County j Clerk, and attend their respective I mass meetings. The television I presentations will be both educa- J tional and informative and will J feature state party leaders and j elected officials. Participants at the mass meetings will elect precinct j officers and delegates to the county j conventions. I |
