Show Gb-Ahead on Airport Work Airport manager, Royal Hotter Monday presented landscape land-scape plans to the Grand county Commission, during regular Commission meeting, for Canyonlands Airport. A second bid for installation of a sprinkling system was submitted sub-mitted for the airport grounds ' from Ed's Plumbing Service of Moab. The Commissioners approved the bid, asked Mr. Holter to proceed with the sprinkling system, and asked him to get costs on shrubs to be planted in the landscaping landscap-ing project. Another bid for the sprinkler system had been submitted last week by D. H. Shields. Attending the meeting this week were Commissioners Ralph J. Miller, Sr., and Mars Pope, along with Clerk Bobbie Domenick. Mrs. John Krist appeared at the meeting to request the use of the County Rodeo Grounds for the July 15-20 "Little Buckaroo Rodea." The Commissioners agreed to allow al-low the facility to be used for that purpose on those dates. Commissioners received the word that the 19G8 Regional School for county personnel would be held in Moab on April 18. In other action, Commissioner Commis-sioner Pope reported on "his meeting in Price with the officers of-ficers of the Community Action Ac-tion Program. Grand county will continue participating in name only, Commissioners decided, de-cided, as the county does not qualify for full participation due to the lack of enough low-income families here. |
