Show Veteran Postoffice Clerk Is Sentenced Gets Year and Day for Thefts; Dyer and Mann Act Violators Also Penalized George T. Fouti, 57, veteran Salt Lake post office clerk, who pleaded guilty to mail thefts, was sentenced to serve year and one day on each of two federal indictments when he appeared Friday before Federal Judge Tillman D. Johnson. The sen- tencei were made concurrent. Glen Hutchlns, 18, was sentenced to serve three years in a federal reformatory foreransporting a car across stat lines. Ha buraed the car. Frederick Homer Fields was given three years in a federal prison after he pleaded guilty to a Msnn act violation. Wilson Reed, chsrged with theft of government property, withdrew a plea of guilty. His trial was set tor Mondsy. The following were granted probation: pro-bation: Clarence Lester Streeter, forgery of a government check; Daniel D. McDonald, forgery of a money order, and Floyd R Denl-son, Denl-son, Dyer act violation. |
