It is hazardous In that southbound lie Escaped Puppy Fate traffic in particular has no advance ad-vance warning of the lane, since southbound csrs travel up a slight grade In approaching the lane and suddenly come upon It. Pstrolmsn G. M. Hopkins. In ehsrge of Investigations at accident acci-dent locations, said steps would be tsken immediately to protect the lane. He said a solution probably prob-ably would be the placing of "Safety Sally" warning signs In the street at proper- distances on either side of the crosswalk. Also suggested was painting of a warnlne on the pavement such as "Caution, School " Crossing." Painting would have to be done by the slate road commission, since Thirteenth East street Is a stale hlehway. Police had received no report of the accident although, under the law, any Iniury accident must be reported within 24 hours. The motorist Involved took the boy to his home. Robert was Injured at the same spot where his pet terrier. Tipsy, was killed by an automobile on September 9. exactly two months before Robert was Injured.
