Show Women Workers Hear Appeal In Community Chest Drive An appeal for city-wide support of the 1939 Community Chest drive to raise funds for 21 social welfare agencies featured the final meeting of women campaigners Friday at Hotel Utah headquarters. Speaking on behalf of agencies serving the ilty's underprivileged, F. S. Walden, general campaign chairman, praised the work of preliminary pre-liminary campaigners and urged that small subscribers show a spirit of giving equal to that of the larger givers. "Results of our preliminary fund-raising fund-raising activities have been most gratifying," said Mr. Walden. "Firms and corporations employing 10 or more persons and their em-polyes em-polyes have responded generously to the chest appeal. So have the larger subscribers."
