Show It's a Bitter Pill for 4U Boys Nine 4-H club boyi in Salt Lake county hate to see the arrival of pheasant hunting season, November S, 6 and 7, for on that date 204 birds raised by them will be subject to slaughter. Under an agreement with the state fish and game department, the boys received 31S pheasant chicks from the state hatchery at Spiingville. Approximately 75 escaped es-caped and a few died. But for each of the 204 turned over to the department the boys received 75 cents. The birds were turned loose north of Draper and in the River-ton River-ton district. Marten Broadbent, assistant county agriculture agent, said the proarara might be enlarged en-larged next year. J |
