Show G. 0. P. Aid Challenges 'Adjournment of Politics' NEW YORK, Sept 29 (UP) John D. M. Hamilton, Republican national committee chairman, said in a speech last night that adjournment adjourn-ment of politics during the European Euro-pean war, as urged by President Roosevelt would be "disastrous" to domestic problems on the eve of the 1940 national elections. Hamilton, spesking at the organization or-ganization meeting of the New York counfV Republican committee, commit-tee, challenged the need for Mr. Roosevelt's "limited emergency" proclamation and said he resented attempts to stampede Republicans because of the war. |
