Dec. 20 UP) It Jimmy Thomson, long-range hitter, keeps bis game on the fine edge it waa yesterday, he will be a No. 1 favorite in the $5000 Los Angeles open golf tournament next month. Playing in an exhibition foursome with Harry Baasler against Lawson Little and Harry Cooper, Thomson shot a 64, eight under par, at Long Beach Recreation park. Thomson's score waa only one stroke above the course record held by Bassler, local professional, local professional, who posted a 73. Cooper Coop-er bad a 6 and Little a 72.
