Show ERRING DRIVERS GET HEAVY FINES A busy Mondsy morning session in city police court found one motorist mo-torist who faced Judge Reva Beck Boson e on a reckless driving charge drawing a $50 fine, while another who allegedly operated his vehicle in the wrong lane of traffic drew a $35 assessment. Earl A. Qlsen. 24, of 244 West Third North street, was fined $50 on tha reckless driving charge, while Vernal Ashley, 21, of t Morris court, was fined $35 for operating his car In the wrong traffic lane. Three flpeedera paid fines of $25 each. They were Stanley Morris, 1. of 250 South Tenth West street:! Mrs. Ruth Patterson. 31, of 1608 South State street, and J. R. Win-die. Win-die. 41. Fred Carlson. 29. was fined $25 following a trial before Judge Boson Bo-son e on a reckless driving count. Joseph H. Mellon Jr.. 2, of 14 Third East street, was fined $10 for allegedly operating a truck without a rear view mirror. Judge Bosone suspended $5 of the fine. The remaining major traffic cases appearing on the docket were either set for trial or entrance of plea at furorr tfatesrTTiey were: Fred Augsburgrr, 42. of 3 H street, pleaded not guilty to failing to yield right of way to a pedrstrisn and trial was set for January 4; Clifton Larkins, 24, Kaysvtlle. to enter plea Tuesday to a similar charge; D. A. McCalllster. 21, of 514 Second avenue, pleaded not guilty to failing to yield right of way to another motorist, trial set January 4: Dal Johnson, 19, of 336 E street, denied a reckless driving charge and trial set January 5: Kenneth Ken-neth McKeen, 25. of 4445 Ninth East street, will plesd January 6 to a speeding charge: Dayton Thomas. 37, to plead Tuesday on a speeding count; La Mar Wilkins, 27, pleaded not guilty to drunken driving and trial was set for Tuesday. Issuance of a bench warrant was ordered for Ray Chrlstensen, 21, of 1371 East South Temple street, when he failed to appear on charges of speeding and operating a vehicle without driver's license. |
