June 23.-With' a force of J twenty-five men, a tank wagon and several sev-eral wagonloads of cinders, Superlntend- nt?f 8fetB Doherty began the removal or Illegal gasoline tanks from public property prop-erty yesterday. "Automobile row." in Michigan avenue was the first territory Invaded, and the appearance of the city laborers with picks, shovels and crowbars spread consternation con-sternation among the dealers who had been violating the city ordinance. . Last night there wree many automobile stations without the necessary motive fuel and considerable embarrassment was caused to some of their patrols.
