A GOOD MOVE BY WALKER'S STORE. Walker Brothers Dry Goods company has determined to close its store at 12:30 o'clock on Saturdays between July 16 and September 1. The company is very much to be commended. We do not think It will lose any money by I the determination. We think it will sell as many goods as I ever and have better service from the employees. Between July 16 and Sptember 1, unless the weather clerk utterly changes his habits this year, there will be forty-five days, almost every one of which will be hot. If the employees can get out Saturday afternoons, take a little outing to the lake or some of the other resorts, and have a good rest on Sunday, they will be in trim for work again Monday morning; otherwise they would have to take their outing on Sunday and go tired to their work on Monday Mon-day niornlng. The plan to give them a half day Saturdays is a generous gener-ous one. Beyond that it Is first-rate business.
