EaM Side subway, running from the Bronx to Coney Island, it Is announced, will . present bids against those which the Inter-borough Inter-borough Rapid Transit company will make. It. is said officially that John W. Gates and several Western capitalists are back of the company and that the money they will furnish, as well as some furnished by foreign capitalists, will make the carrying out of. a contract con-tract possible. The estimated cost of the subway is $50,000,000.
