Show LOWER PRICES IN WALL STREET NEW YORK, June 23. Openirg prices in the stock market today were lower than last night and succeeding transactions extended the declines. Anaconda dropped 3, Reading 14. Pennsylvania, Union Pacific, St. Paul and Brooklyn Transit about a point, and Northern Pacific and Amalgamated Amalgamat-ed Copper large fractions. The volume vol-ume of dealings was moderate. Partial recoveries running to a point In Reading resulted from the demand of the short Interest. Business which had at no time been large, becairfe generally smaller on the recovery. The market then declined again with several new weak spots uncovered. Union Pacific, Pennsylvania, Colorado Fuel and Brooklyn Transit fell 1, Amalgamated Copper 1 U , and Southern South-ern Pacific, the United States Steel stocks. Smelting and Interborough Metropolitan preferred 1. Great Northern preferred, after a temporary gain of H,, fell to below last night. Consolidated Gas improved 1. There was some rally In anticipation of the favorable bank statement in which B. & O. rose 1 above last night, and Pacific Malt also rose 1.
