Man N Nabbed bh dAiter After I Tearing Up Checks Robert Radley 30 was held in the city jail on open charges Thursday I following his arrest late Wednesday afternoon in m the Walker Bank and Trust company where he allegedly reached into a tellers teller's ca cage e and tore up a check which be had attempted to cash in a local store Radley according to police reports presented the check signed by F J JYoung JYoung Young Jr Jr in m payment for merchandise merchandise dise disc in the Kelly Mullett-Kelly clothing store South Main Mam street L L. H Birrell Bir- Bir rail rell credit manager became suspicious suspicious cious and accompanied Radley to the bank to learn whether the check was wasa a forgery When Birrell in Radley's presence was told the maker had no account althe at al atthe atthe the bank Radley allegedly reached Into the cage obtained the check and tore it in pieces several of or which were held for evidence The arrest was made by City Detectives L.
