cona'n BOTTLE tims By TED ROWLAND For years the most masculine mascu-line place in the world was the sea-going Navy, but tradition just got a kick in the bicuspids bicus-pids with the announcement that the Waves are going to sea. While a few other countries coun-tries have used lady sailors, the U. S. has kept the femin-- femin-- ine sea dogs in dry dock. This is bound to bring up more problems than a radio soap opera, because the Navy's battlewagons and assorted craft were never designed for co-ed conditions. As a tryout just a couple of Waves will be shipped out, and if the plan works we'll have permanent Waves afloat. Wonder if the Navy song will now be "Anchors "An-chors A -Woo"?
