Show Springville Club President Named 2nd Vice:President of District Mrs. Finley Roylance, president of the Pari Passu Pas-su Club and president of the club council of Springville Spring-ville was elected second vice-president of the Nebo District Federated Womens clubs at a convention holrl in Snanish Fork on Saturdav. ADDroximatelv s group at noon, in the chapel amusement hall, at which time district officers were elected for 1949. Highlight of the day's activities activ-ities was installation of two new clubs as official district members. Both were Spanish Fork organizations organi-zations and included Lofian club with Mrs. RalDh Pinee'ar as nresi- 200 delegates and other ladies were present representing 31 clubs from Springville on the North to Fillmore on the South. Other officers named include: Mrs. C. R. Lomas of Nephi, president; presi-dent; Mrs. Isaac Taylor of Spanish Span-ish Fork, first vice-president; Mrs. Mariel Taylor, Payson, secretary; Mrs. Don Stewart, Fillmore, treasurer; treas-urer; Mrs. Thomas Rose, Payson, auditor and Mrs. Amos Irons, Nephi, Ne-phi, historian. Presiding at all sessions of the meet was Mrs. Wendell Erland-son Erland-son of Payson, district president until today's elections. The initial meeting convened at 9:15 a. m. for district officials, with a general gen-eral assembly of club members at 10 a. m. after which separate departmental meetings were held. A luncheon was served to the dent, and the Tri-Aglaian club, with Mrs. Velma P. Smith as its president. General chairman of arrangements arrange-ments for the convention was Mrs. Ben L. Isaac, assisted by Mrs. P. P. Thomas as chairman of reception recep-tion and hospitality, decoration chairman was Mrs. Frank Nelson, Nel-son, while Mrs. Robert Brown had charge of preparation and serving of the luncheon. |
