Show u Marriage of Interest To Local Friends Mrs. Orissa Celventra, former resident of Springville, announces the marriage of her daughter, Erma, to Lt. Stephen M. Fischer, Army Air Forces, son of Mrs. Sarah Sar-ah M. Fischer of New York City. The wedding took place on Dec. 29th, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bennett D. Brown, in New York City, in the presence of Lt. Fischer's Fisch-er's family and a few intimate friends. Leo Huberman was best man. The bride is a graduate of Stanford Stan-ford University, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. During Dur-ing the past two years she has been -employed by the United Press and the San Francisco News and recently resigned from the staff of Time Magazine. Lt. Fischer is a graduate of New York University where he j was editor of the college daily, and of the Graduate School of Journalism of Columbia University. Univer-sity. He was formerly on the staff of the San Francisco Chronicle, Chroni-cle, from which he is now on leave. He has spent three years in the Army Air Forces, and has flown throughout three campaigns in the South Pacific, where he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal, and four Oak Leaf Clusters. The couple will reside for the next few months at 310 East 55th St., New York City, as Lt. Fischer Fisch-er is now stationed in that area. |
