Show Kolob Stake Conference Set For Sat, Sunday Bishop Marvin 0. Ashton And Henry D. Moyle To Address Conference; Mothers, Daughters 9 A. M. Meet Included On Conference Program Kolob stake quarterly conference will be conducted Saturday evening and Sunday, with all meetings to convene in the Fourth ward chapel, announces President Ernest A. Strong. The program for the confer- ence is somewhat changed and a full attendance of stake members is urged at all meetings. Assigned to represent the general gen-eral church authorities at the conference con-ference are Bishop Marvin O. Ashton of the presiding bishopric, and Henry D. Moyle, representing the church welfare department. The conference will begin at 6:30 p. m., with a welfare meeting meet-ing in the Relief Society room of the chapel for those members connected con-nected with welfare work. In the same room, beginning at 8 p. m., there will be a priesthood leadership leader-ship meeting. At 9 a. m., Sunday, there will be a priesthood meeting and at the same time the mothers and daughters will also meet. Mrs. Harold Christensen, who will be in charge of this meeting, announces an-nounces the following program, to be given at this time: Theme, "Mormon's part in promoting pro-moting exemplary family relationship; relation-ship; opening song, "Love at Home;" invocation, Mrs. Lena Maycock; roll call, standing by wards; selection, Fourth ward double dou-ble trio; talk, Strengthening Mother, Mo-ther, Daughter Relations," Mrs. G. Ray Hales; talk, "What Daughters Daugh-ters Can Do," Joyce Whiting; selection, se-lection, high school girls' chorus; talk, "How Women Can Honor Priesthood Appointments of Family Fam-ily Members," Eva Crandall; reading, read-ing, "The Perfect Home," by Mary Jane Condie; discussion and summary; sum-mary; closing song, benediction, LaRue Weight. Music for program has been arranged by Mrs. Lucille Bird. After the Priesthood and the Mothers and Daughters meeting, the general session of conference will be held from 10:30 a. m. until 12 noon. From 2 until 4 p. m., will be a general session and at 7:30 p. m., the Y.M.M.I.A will present the program. President Strong asks especially for attendance of the following at the various meetings: Welfare Meeting: Stake Presidency, Presi-dency, State Welfare committee, ward Bishoprics, Stake Relief Society So-ciety Presidency, Ward Relief Society So-ciety Presidencies, and Secretary of Stake Welfare committee. Priesthood Leadership meeting: Stake Presidency, High Council, Stake Clerk, Stake Aaronic Priesthood Priest-hood committee, Stake committee for adult members of the Aaronic Priesthood, Bishops, Counselors, and ward clerks. The Stake Priesthood meeting, Sunday morning, is for all members mem-bers of the Priesthood, both Mel-chizodok Mel-chizodok and Aaronic. All other meetings and general sessions the public are cordially invited to attend. All members should feel it their duty to be there. |
