Show PLANS MATURING FOR G. I. JOE'S CARNIVAL EVENT Entertainment, Fri., Sat., To Raise Funds To Send Town Paper To Service Men Elaborate plans are going forward for-ward by a committee from the Junior Chamber of Commerce, headed by Deal Mendenhall, for a real up-to-date carnival to be held in Springville Friday and Saturday, Satur-day, Feb. 2 , and 3, at Memorial hall. The carnival is to be a G. I. Joe Overhall and Apron event, with many novel and surprise features planned. Approximately ?500 in prizes are to be given during the big celebration to which the public pub-lic will be invited. Funds derived from the entertainment enter-tainment are to be used to send the town paper to the men and women in the service, a project which the Junior Chamber of Commerce initiated some time ago, and which is still going on. It . involves considerable funds as the paper is sent to over 650 service people and more are leaving leav-ing each month. Therefore, the Jaycees are asking for cooperation from the public in their forthcoming forth-coming entertainment. |
