Show O Local Girl Is Wed To oAir Corps Officer A wedding of interest to relatives rela-tives and friends in Springville is that of Venice Pennington, daugh-- daugh-- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pennington Pen-nington of this city, and Lt. Paul E. Beals of the Army Air Corps, son of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Beals of Richmond, Calif. The marriage took place last Thursday, Jan. 18, at the post chapel at Fort Douglas, Salt Lake City, with Capt. Stanley Marole, chaplain of the army post, officiating. offici-ating. The bride was charmingly attired at-tired in a green suit with brown accessories, and she wore a corsage cor-sage of gardenias and roses. Witnessing the ceremony were the immediate family arid close friends of the couple, and after the marriage, the members of the wedding party were entertained at an informal wedding dinner. Lt. Beals has just returned from the. European theater of operations opera-tions after flying thirty missions over enemy territory. He holds the purple heart in recognition of wounds received in action and was also awarded the air medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross. The couple left Tuesday to visit his parents at Richmond, Calif., and will go from there to Santa Monica, Calif., where he is to have a two-weeks' rest period and receive re-ceive his reassignment. |
