Show . MAPLETON FFA MEMBER WINS $15 CASH PRIZE Dean Tew, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. T. Tew of Mapleton, and a member of the Springville high school F. F. A., was awarded second sec-ond place in a sugar beet and beef feeding contest sponsored by the F. F. A. and 4-H club members in various high schools, by the Utah-Idaho Sugar company, according ac-cording to announcement by Leo W. Jex, Springville high school agriculture instructor. The award, consisting of $15 in cash, was made Monday by J. W. O'Bryant, district manager of the sugar company, in cooperation with S. R. Boswell, Utah county agriculture agent, and Dean Ward, assistant. Following the presentation, the winner, together with Mr. Jex, the county agents and sugar beet officials and other winners in the FFA and 4-H club groups were entertained at dinner at their pictures taken to appear in the sugar beet publication. |
