Show Glen W. Sumsion Is Named City Mayor New City Head Has Been City Attorney Nine Years In Addition To Other Civic Service; Will Succeed S. J. Boyer Glen Sumsion, city attorney for the past nine years, Monday evening was appointed mayor of Springville by the city council, to succeed Selvoy J. Boyer, who left re- cently to be L D S mission president presi-dent in England. Mr. Sumsion, a native of Springville, Spring-ville, is well acquainted with affairs af-fairs of the city having taken an active part in civic as well as church work for a number of years. In addition to his service as attorney at-torney for the city, he has been president of the chamber of commerce. com-merce. He is in the presidency of Kolob stake and is active in other church capacities. He is secretary sec-retary and treasurer and a board member of the Springville Irrigation Irri-gation district and the Springville Irrigation company and also supervisor su-pervisor and secretary of the Springville Livestock association. He is a member of the local Kiwanis club and in past years has been active on various committees funetioning in a civic capacity. |
