Show STATE HIGHWAY CONTRACTS LET Citizens of Weber County Win Fight for Monolithic Concrete Roads. F. E. Twice; before when advertisements have been printed calling for bids for the construction con-struction of tiieso highways, bitulithic pavement has been specified and in each instance a protest has been made by delegations dele-gations of Ogden citizens. The awards yesterday were the result of advertisements advertise-ments for bids on the several kinds of pavement. They were awarded with but one dissenting vote, that of State Auditor Joseph Kirte. Attorney General Dan IJ. Shields was absent from the meeting. The time to complete the contract was fixed at 100 days. The commission also ordered the construction con-struction of bridges as follows: on the I-a Verkin-Zion highway, one mile east of Rockwell, at a cost of &:;27, on the san road over North creek, one mile east of Virgin City, at a cost of ?S017, in Washington county, and a reinforced concrete con-crete ar-'h bridge fifty-foot span on the Wells ville-Logan road, and one at the Logan .sugar factory, in Cache countv, at a cost of S 1 " . 3 6 3 each.
