Show NUMEROUS STRIKES IN SIMON DISTRICT Reports from the Simon district, situated situ-ated twenty-three miles east of Mina, are most encouraging, and it is evident that the men who have pinned their faith to this great lead-silver region were not mistaken in their judgment that there will be found abounding in the hidden vaults of nature unlimited riches, according ac-cording to the Tonopah Daily Times. Reports from the property or" the Norman Nor-man Silver Mining company, located about one and one-half miles south ot the famous Simon silver-lead mine, are to the effect that a solid body of ore is exposed across tiie bottom of the shaft that contains silver sulphides and copper. cop-per. Values were not made known by reason of the fact that assay returns had not been reported, hut it is evident that the product can be handled at a good margin of profit. The shaft on the Norman Silver prop-ertv prop-ertv has attained a depth of eighty feet and sinking will be continued for a good distance to prove the persistency of the shoot. The full width of the ore vein has not been determined, as neither wall is exposed. . Another Important mineral find is reported re-ported from the property of the agen Mines company, where a solid body of galena having a width of four feet is exposed ex-posed In the bottom of the ?,"-foot Shalt. In addition to the lead contents it ! stated that assays show values of J!" in siiver and H in gold a ton. This property is situated about two miles south of the Simon siiver-lead mine and adjoins a promising prospect owned by L. V. poneochar. a w.-il-knowr.
