Superintendent John Westerdahl of the Tintic Standard property says- that the job of retimbering and enlarging the old shaft, which hereafter here-after will be known as sh.n ft No. 2. is progressing1 rapidly, and within ten days or two weeks there will be an entirely new, double compartment, well -timbered shaft to' a depth of TOO feet. Sixty d'tys more ought to be sufficient to complete the job to the 1000 level, which is the bottom of this old shaft, but it is hardly likely that the Tintic Standard people will stop at that point with this second shaft.
