Show RICH SAMPLES FROM LEHI TINTIC WINZE: Manager Reports Ore Is Steadily Increasing in High Values. Manager George Nicholes of the Lehl Tlntic came in from the North Tintic district yesterday and brought with him some very rich ore samples taken from the newer workings of the property. Mr. Nicholes reported that the bottom of the winze, now down fifty feet, was all in ore and that the ore appeared to be steadily increasing In richness as depth was gained. The winze has been in ore all the way, but when down a few feet the ore shoot being followed from the tunnel level split, the main branch dipping beyond the walls of the winze. The lesser shoot was followed fol-lowed and, according to the word brought in by Mr. Nicholes, it has widened enough to cover the bottom of the winze and carries high values In lead and silver. The work in the winze has been delayed to some extent by the installation of a new hoist, which is being put in to facilitate fa-cilitate work. Manager Nicholes reports that some very good ore was disclosed In cutting a -station to Install the hoist, but no prospect work has been done to ascertain the extent of the new disclosure. dis-closure. Because of the snow and the bad roads no shipments ha.ve been made from the recent strike, but it is expected that conditions con-ditions will improve sufficiently within the next two weeks as to permit the loading load-ing of one or two cars. Mr. Nicholes said yesterday that fully 'two cars of ore were piled -.on the "cftimp ready for movement. -- -t-t-f -t-t-f-f -t- -f -f-f-t- 4- Silver 85c Lead (New York) $7.55 -f Spelter (St. Louis) 57.70 -f -f Silver in London 42d -f -M- "M-t-f NEW YORK, March 1.
