A joint committee to draft recommendations for apportioning cars to meet tne railroad fuel demand was named at a conference here today of govern men t officials, eastern east-ern railroad represent a t ives and mine operators. The committee is composed of represent at ives of t he roads nnd cotil operators and its programme will be subject sub-ject to the approval of the railroad and fuel administrations. At its first meeting today the committee commit-tee discussed ways and means of obtaining obtain-ing tiiese results: Provision for a definite and dependable supply of fuel for the roads. Avoidance of i be excessive use of transportation In obtaining railroad fuel. Retention for commercial uses of cool of special quallly now used for railroad fuel.
