Show DRAINAGE DISTRICT TO BE ORGANIZED Special to The Tribune. IDAHO FALLS, Idaho, Sept. 13. For 1 many years since the country was settled set-tled the overflow of Willow creek and Sand creek, a few miles east of this city, during the high water In the spring has caused damage to the farmers of that section of from $50,000 to ?100.00' annually. A few weeks ago a number of the farmers got together and made a temporary organ izat ion and appointed a committee, consisting of Surveyors Cotton Cot-ton and Wilson, .J. H. Heath. Wilford M. Christensen and W. D. Rogers, to go over i the ground and get an idea of the means1 of caring for this surplus water. This committee reported at a meeting held in the Club of Commerce rooms of this city. The ways and means committee, commit-tee, also appointed at that time, consisting con-sisting of Frank W. Jordan, V. C. So1h;i-berger So1h;i-berger and Christian Anderson, reported, suggesting the organization of a drainage district, as provided for in the Twelfth session'' ses-sion'' laws, and issuing bonds to defray the expense of the work. The estimated cost of making a ditch and enlarging ihc channels of the present streams is ?90.0U'j. |
