Show PROCLAMATION. Good cause appearing therefor, and in accordance with the nationally accepted policy of food conseryation of the United States, we believe it to be the duty of every "ureeder and owner of cattle to take every precaution to prevent and control the disease known as blackleg among young cattle, and, since vaccination with blackleg vaccine is the universal preventive, pre-ventive, H is hereby ordered, under and in pursuance of the authority conferred upon the stale livestock board by an act of the legislature of Utah, approved March 15. 191 7, chapter 105. laws of Utah, 1917. that every owner of cattle in LTtah shall vaccinate, between September Septem-ber 15, 1917, and the 15th day of November, No-vember, 1917, all young cattle from three (3) months to two (2) years of age, inclusive. in-clusive. Any recognized standard vaccine or pellets may be used in complying with this order. Blackleg vaccine, with instructions in-structions for its use. will be furnished upon request, free of charge, by the local office of the United States bureau ot animal ani-mal industry, 32G Federal building, Salt Lake Oily, Utah. Sections of the state where the dis-ease dis-ease is prevalent, and the owners do nol voluntarily comply with this order, will be rigidly ojiarantined and the young cattle vaccinated under t lie supervision of an official of the state livestock board at the expense of the owner.
