Show SHORT LINE ENGINEER ENLISTS FOR ARMY Special to The Tribune. POCATELLO. Idaho. May 26. Sr-gnt Sr-gnt Shaffer of the army recruiting station sta-tion announced yesterday that Fra nk I. Phoenix of this city, an engineer with the Short Line, had enlisted in the engineering engi-neering corps of the army, and that William Wil-liam W. Parmon and Earl A. 'arpenter of American Falls had gone into the infantry in-fantry branch of the servke. Surgeon R. G. Davis of rhe navy, who spnt two days In tins city securing recruits re-cruits for the hospital corps of the navy, announced before leaving for Butte thrn t he had accepted the applications of M. C. McAuhffe, a Short Line fireman, and of Lloyd Vernon Wilcox of Wendell, Idaho, and that they will be cent at once to San Francisco to enter a hospital training school. The marine recruitine: station, in charge of Sergeant Stuart, announced the enlistment en-listment of Lewis Ambrose Mathf-ys and Ben Siles Arinmf, both of St. Anthony, who will be sent at once to a coast station. |
