All have- been renuested to bo present and are now bound by their oaths to do so. A feature of the registration that is being emphasized by Sheriff John S. Corless is that no one between the ages of 21 and 30, inclusive, is exempt from registration. Aliens must register as well as others. Notices to this clVect, printed in all languages of tho various foreign elements in the countv, are being be-ing posted by the sheriff's office. Response Is Appreciated. Appreciation of the response to the call tor volunteers for the registration work is expressed by both city and countv oificials who have had charge of the registration organization. Five committees to pass upon exemptions exemp-tions to service, under the requirements of the army draft law, will be appointed by .Mayor Ferry Monday. Instructions to appoint such committees are contained con-tained in a pamphlet issued from army headquarters at Washington. Each committee will consist of three members mem-bers for every 30,000 unit of population and will pass upon all questions of exemptions. Just what these exemptions exemp-tions are has not been made clear. Of the three members who compose each committee of exemption one will be a physician. A supervisory committee will consist of the mayor, city recorder and city physician.
