Show POLICE ON TRAIL OF SPECTACLE PEDDLER While Hunting Missing Bank Teller Officers Get Tra;k of Much-wanted Much-wanted Eyeglass Salesman. Through a clue which the police were following in connection with the disappearance disap-pearance of Warren C. Mangum, alleged absconding teller of the Continental National Na-tional bank, it is believed by them that they have discovered the identity of a spectacle peddler who has been swindling persons in several Utah towns. The police believe him to be S. P. Getzler. The day after Mangum disappeared word reached the nohce that a man answering Mangum s description was traveling through Tooele county in an automobile. The machine broke down near Iosepa, and the man boarded a train, sending the chauffeur back to Salt Lake. Chief J. Parley White learned the number of the machine, which bore a Missouri number, and, after a check with the St. Louis police, identified the man as Getzler. The police are now trying to identify Getzler as the swindler. Many reports have come to the police from Utah towns that a spectacle peddler ped-dler had passed off worthless glasses at exorbitant prices. One aged woman in Kaysville paid him $SS which she had saved up to pay taxes on her little home. Other reports indicate the peddler ped-dler gathered up several hundred dollars. dol-lars.
