Show OLD EMMA TO BUILD BIG HOMB MEN Has Proved Ore Body and Will Prepare for Big Winter Campaign. A. O. Jacobson, a pioneer mining man of Alta. actively concerned in t lie development de-velopment of the Alta Consolidated, the Michigan-Utah and numerous other properties prop-erties of the district, returned yesterday from a trip to t lie camp, greatly pleased with developments at the present time. Mr. .Jacobson said tha t the Michigan -I' tab was sending down its regular eighty to 100 tons per day and that the Alta Consolidated had two cars of high grade- ready for shipment. Lven more gratifying to him than the developments on his own properties was the information that he. recei-ved from Lee Olockner. superintendent of the Old Kmma, to the effect that the ore body had been proved for 100 feet, that the old shaft sunk many years ago would be pumped out down to the 2-50 level, and that for this purpose electric pumps are heing Installed. It is calculated that after the water is out at this revel, but little work will he required to open one of the largest and richest bodies of ore in the property and, with the expectation of keeping at work through the winter an unusually large force of men, the company Is excavating for a large and thoroughly modern bunk and boarding house, which will be rushed to completion as fast as possible.
