Show ACTIVITY IS GREAT IN SOUTH TINTIC George Dern, general manager of the Tintic Milling company, operating a plant at Silver City, returned Sunday night from a week spent on the ground, with gratifying reports both as to the progress prog-ress made in the installation of the eight new roasters for the plant and the general gen-eral activity that Is resulting in the working work-ing of numerous old properties that were well known years ago and then permitted, because of a decline in metals, to remain inactive. Mr. Hern said that from present indications indi-cations the enlarged mill, which will have a capacity of 300 tons per day, will be In ship-shape by November 1. The plant has already been successfully operated with only three roasters, and the vast increase in-crease in . capacity will permit the treating treat-ing of a much large tonnage of the district. dis-trict. The Shoebrldge, Minnie Moore. Laclede and Snowftake mines are among those now being operated under lease and there Is sood reason to believe that the low-grade low-grade ores of these and other properties will furnish an output more than sufficient suffi-cient to tax the capacity of the enlarged mill. |
